re: #340 Decatur Deb

One of the best parts of the Fall trip was Meteor Crater. I knew that the site was in private hands, so I expected something like a roadside alligator zoo. The crater was as advertised, the observatory was great, and the explanatory museum was Smithsonian-quality. (The campground they run, 3 miles away, was the best of the trip.)

The Meteor Crater has really been fixed up over the last 45 years. (I’ve never seen a roadside alligator zoo, so the expectation is an unknown.) 45 years ago, you could walk to the bottom (and back). Do they still do that?
