It still astounds me that Atwater was able to do all the damage he did and was only 40 when he died. (The “widder” Atwater still runs her stupid mouth.)

Atwater in the Age of the Internet. Honestly, I can’t be objective on Atwater having not lived it. Some think he was contrite and others thought that too was an act. I have no idea but I know this much, the 1992 election was better without him. And my opinion of HW Bush would be much higher if he never hired him.
