Well, he managed to avoid close scrutiny and any charges while he was in office. The only person to report about on this scandal with any regularity was Rachel Maddow.

To be fair, the Bergen Record and (I can’t believe I’m saying this) the Wall Street Journal had this on the print end. But yeah, Maddow was definitely the first on the TV machine to go after this.

In support of your point, chances are I would have never heard of this due to the fact I’m in South Jersey. For such a small state, there really is a big divide between the two regions. Much of that is due to the influence of the two big ass cities at either end of Jersey.
