This. Sucks, because for a while there I was holding him up as the Republican I Could Really Like. BUT then he starts talking about social policy and then it was like a pinata of crazy being busted open. It’s like he’s a good guy, but there’s a tiny little Santorum in his brain taking him over and working the levers from time to time.

He’s stated for the record that we need to change the Constitution so that it’s in line with the Word of God. (Because, he explains, you can change the one, but not the other.)

That’s pretty much the point where I back away slowly…but I do like seeing him speak. He was on the Daily Show, and was very funny.
