including a mother selling even a small amount of weed in front of her kids, but 10yrs for a first time offender for 2 buys totaling $31? Somehow people think that’s not only fair but a good idea?

Secondly, how do you get sentenced to a total of 12 years (10+2 concurrently for another charge) and get out in 3? How does that make any sense?

Our drug laws are pretty messed up. It also didn’t help that the defendant is black and poor. If it had been a white suburban mom doing that it probably would have been a slap on the wrist.
