Wasn’t there a portrait of Jindal done the same? TBH I never considered colorism and India’s class system in explaining why Dinesh is the way he is. But that’s a good theory. Colorism does exist. I’ve learned a little about it in South America from my brother via his extended family. Just glad that my brother doesn’t care about that shit and he cares about people first and foremost.

Dinesh is pretty dark. Maybe he thinks it’s easier to “pass” here. Somebody should tell him that “assimilation” doesn’t work like Photoshop.
