There was a story involving Siegfried and Roy and how Roy came out onstage with a new pair of python-skin boots. This prompted one of the cats to leap down and attack them, thinking they were a threat to their beloved trainer.

It all happened so quickly, and everybody was in such shock and surprise that nobody was sure which of the tigers had done it.

So later, after the victim had awakened in the hospital, they came with photos and asked:

“Pardon me, Roy, is this the cat that chewed your new shoes?”
