I have never heard anyone in any place of being able to make changes EVER talk about banning guns. Ever. Not once. But you know what? If you want to own military or SWAT type weapons, JOIN THE MILITARY. Go through SWAT training. The average person doesn’t need that shit because this isn’t freaking Somalia.

What sensible people want is background checks, restrictions on people with a history of violence, mental illness/PTSD and maybe, oh, once you own a couple hundred guns you ought to slow the fuck down.

It’s all bullshit to distract from the fact that we have a problem with firearms in this country. Hell, the NRA has made sure the CDC can’t even STUDY gun violence and in some places pediatricians can’t even approach the subject of gun safety when you have a toddler in the house. The answer is NOT more guns. It just isn’t.
