One of the benefits of a private system: RESEARCH. Socialized Medicine looks to cut costs everywhere, and one of the areas they view as a waste of money is trying to develop something new.

Exactly. Why waste money developing new treatments to extend life when old people just wind up costing the system more money, and they don’t contribute anything anyway?
