This is the growth of Norman Lear’s lib group—the creator of Archie Bunker. They’ve always been overtly Hollywood Progressive.

Here’s what they said:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry today held The Response prayer rally, an event he organized with the the American Family Association, a group with a history of intolerance toward gays and lesbians, Muslims, Native Americans and progressives.

I was with ‘em up until the very end, where they group in “progressives” with those other groups. Not the same thing. I had to laugh, actually.

The governor should not be associating with groups intolerant toward citizens of any faith, race, creed, etc etc - but IMO, by definition, a politician with a stated political philosophy is intolerant of other political philosophies. I mean, otherwise what would be the point?
