A friend of mine who is truly one of the smartest people I have ever known was put on a wait list for Stanford as a legacy. We are talking 3rd in her class at a very good HS, activities beyond belief, ridiculous GPA, etc. etc. I still can’t believe it.

She ended up going to Occidental for a year and then CU so she could be closer to her eventual husband.

She was one of the main organizers of the DPS teacher’s strike.

When I am with her, I am smarter. It’s been that way since we were kids. <3
