Yep, that is Ryan’s dilemma in a nutshell: If he embraces Trump, he sacrifices the Reps in purple and blue districts. He foresakes Trump, he likely won’t save enough of either to matter and he puts those in red districts into play.

All he has to do then is shitcan the Hastert Rule and, like, legislate.
