On a positive note, I think that most of the elected Republicans are going to stop bending over backwards for trump.

Just my two cents which is worth less than two cents these days.

You may be right, now that Trump’s chief campaign promises are all dead in the water, or at least foundering.

*The wall — construction delays, funding issues
*The travel ban — skewered in the courts
*End the ACA — nope

Trump is going to attack the GOP for failing him, but as only a few Republican Senators are up for re-election in 2018, the Republicans in the Senate don’t need to toe the line. House Republicans may wake up and realize that Trump’s overall popularity sucks, and if they continue to follow his lead, they may be out of jobs in 2018.
