What does having an economy in the toilet have to do with out of control spending other than driving us further down the bowl? We’re in this mess partly because people have zero self-control especially when they’re handling someone elses money. If we continue on this path we’re going to end up with a debt that’s 100% of GDP within the decade. We cannot continue on like this. Even the president has said our current debt is unsustainable.
