The Gop as a whole is not that way, much of it is. Can you tell the difference between the whole and its parts? I thought you were versant in science and were capable of doing so, I guess not.

Can you tell the difference between a majority and a minority? I would think that if you are going to snark at a scientist for being able to measure correctly, you would note that the majority of the GOP these days does not think like you. The majority of the GOP is either openly racist, homophobic, anti-science etc - or it says nothing and tacitly approves by doing nothing.

Since that is the case with the majority of the GOP, it is valid and accurate to brand the party as such even though there are some holdouts who are still reasonable.
