I think the problem isn’t with social media in itself, it’s the rise of clickbait that reenforces existing biases. I still read George Will and Bob Novak. I don’t read Hugh Hewitt or Marc Theissen’s opeds because they’re just Trump excuse pieces.

I agree, but I remember the pre-internet world, and we also have known history. Part of what really got the Tulsa Riots going was the rumor spread among local whites that black militias were coming in from out of town and state to cause trouble.
