I used to work with a guy 20 years ago who moved from SF to Lexington, Va. He drove a big Lincoln Continental and had named it Sherman because of the tank. When he arrived in Lexington he found out Sherman was not an appreciated name.

I got a ‘56 Ford Mainline with a Thunderbird engine when I graduated from high school in 1970. I called it Sherman, too, because it was a fucking tank.

Until I let my mom drive it and she destroyed it.
