then let me clarify one thing: my notion: I would support revising BC to those born here to legal residents, not just citizens, as is common in a lot of countries.
I am certainly not for retroactively taking away anyone’s citizenship.
I just want to see significant reform of our immigration and residency system.
(I know that my grandmother was naturalized, must admit that I do not even know the status of the others,)
I know you’re not for retroactively stripping it. I just think you need to make legal residency more affordable before you even consider something like that. I think so much of these attitudes that people like the President and others who want to get rid of it have comes from a place of being lucky to be born to native born citizens or a parent already naturalized. We’ve done a great job integrating immigrants into our society and I genuinely feel that BR citizenship is a big part of why.
