I brought some Cubans home with me years ago. Really, a cigar is just a cigar. Just take off any labels that identify their origin and, even in the off-chance they do inspect your luggage, nothing’s going to happen.

Actually, get Hondurans if you want good Cubans.

Seems that when the Great Upheaval happened back when, several tobacco plantation folk took their seed stock (well, seeds, seedlings and cuttings) with them. Honduras offered almost identical climate and same if not better soil. It took some time to get established, but now… It’s kinda like what happened to wines from California, except there hasn’t yet been a Judgment at Paris moment.
