Despite our vaunted intellect, we are still emotional beings. In my opinion that’s why cognitive science is so important. It will give us knowledge and tools to help us overcome our stupid side.

I think you’re a bit too hopeful, that everyone will engage in that.

I mean, it’s already the 21st century and it’s as though we’re just beginning to walk, considering how long we’ve been a species.

Give us another million years, and maybe it will happen…
