Yeah, the Jade Helm freakout has been rather amusing in light of how many times a wingnut has assured me that if the US ever dissolves into Civil War, the military will totally abandon the federal government and take the side of the “patriots.” Why? Because, they assure me, soldiers would never obey orders to turn their guns on American citizens.

Yeah it’s all very confusing. Like the Confederates were Patriots, but No they were Democrat Party.
