As is true with all pets, cats do somewhat adopt behaviors and quirks from their owners. The fact that cats are aloof and independent doesn’t mean that they don’t somewhat imprint upon their favorite person and reflect the personality thereof. My cat, for example, exhibits an extraordinary choosiness in whom he allows to pet him, whereas my wife’s cat is much more indiscriminate in her lust for attention. Introverted vs. extroverted.

That’s one thing - I expected aloof and independent. Neither of my kits exhibit this behavior. At. All. They both follow me wherever I go just like their dog brother. They come when I call them actually better than the dog. They have never met a stranger. In fact, when my RV guy was here the other day fixing a leak (damn freeze) both cats were on top of him purring away. He was kinda wierded out by it. LOL
