Transgender people make one portion of the argument about homosexuality very well; nobody would willingly choose that life if they didn’t have a significant inner drive prompting them to do so. It’s a life of constantly not fitting in, of constantly facing possible fear, disgust, and even violence simply because of very minor cosmetic aspects of yourself. And yet so many people act as though TG people are just being intentionally difficult, just fucking it up for the rest of us. I don’t get it.
