This is the problem we face in dealing with that part of the world: either we get (relatively) moderate secular dictators who rule through the military or we get Muslim Brotherhoods or other Islamist parties.

We can choose our poison. But as long as our dependence on imported energy resources creates a financial and political involvement for us in that part of the world, we have to swallow it.
