Yeah, there’s definitely going to be aftershocks from this event - and they’ll continue for the foreseeable future.

All the new transplants to the L.A. area, who may come from parts of the US (or the world) where earthquakes are almost unheard of are going to be having some sleepless nights.

My ex-wife and I happened to be visiting my parents for Christmas in 2003…..and she got to experience the rumble from the San Simeon earthquake (12/22/03, magnitude 6.6). I thought she was going to jump out of her skin; she’d never been in an earthquake before. And even though the epicenter was far away, we still felt it.
