Here’s a link to the text of the Advanced Care Section of the house draft of the bill. While the language is a mess, and there are questionable things in it, I don’t see anything that says that Euthanasia will be mandatory. It looks more like they are trying to ensure people get counseled on options and means to make their wishes known and legally unassailable, but they sure were clumsy in how they wrote it.

I still have to read the bill(s). One of my questions is how do they plan to implement it uniformly? Is any of it administered thru the States? If one group of regional decision makers thinks in terms of euthanasia, perhaps they will find a way to make it happen legally—assisted-suicide with the patients conscent —or not?
