I really hate to play politics, but it seems Virginia Republicans got a lot quieter after the revelation about the Senate majority leader. I think, ultimately, Northam should go, and Virginians think so too, but Democrats there don’t have to rush and drive off a cliff.

Northam and Fairfax resigning and Herring becoming governor long enough to name the new LG and AG is probably the best we can hope for. Otherwise we have a governor whose electoral victory came by having his name drawn from a fish bowl.
