What is interesting?

The whole post didn’t show up except for that part. Weird.

Anyway…this:

Expert says he confronted mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik about his views

A prominent Norwegian academic, who acknowledged Wednesday he has a uniquely personal view of terrorism given his 1977 arrest in connection with a botched anti-Israel plot, says he warned future mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik and other participants in a far-right web forum that they were on the same intellectual path that led to the Holocaust.

Oslo College professor Lars Gule said he started engaging in 2006 in various debates on a website forum dominated by Islamophobic and anti-immigration commentary.

He said he realized after Friday’s dual attacks that Breivik, who has admitted he killed 76 people in a bid to draw attention to the “Muslim colonization” of Europe, participated in the discussions and had challenged his views.

During the discussions Gule said he told forum participants that the “views that you are holding are dangerous because you are dehumanizing human beings, and when you do that you have started on the road to the gates of Auschwitz.

“And people said, ‘oh, what are you doing? You are exaggerating.’ But what Breivik did was prove me right.”

Gule has been a prominent commentator in the international media since Friday’s tragedy, with the BBC calling him a “terrorism expert” in one of three separate interviews.
