What would make a plastic gallon of distilled water (unopened) evaporate? I was trying to keep it for the iron. I confess, I still iron all-cotton stuff, including bed linens. There was no water on the closet floor. Very mysterious and happened in about 2 wks.

A leaky cap. A thirsty spouse/SO/child/roommate. A practical joking pouse/SO/child/roommate. Ghosts - thirsty ghosts.
