re: #362 rightymouse
Went to China Town in Boston a couple of years ago when #3 son turned 21 (he was at Northeastern at the time). Had about 8 of us for dim sum lunch. $40. Almost fell off my chair.
Ahh, yes! beantown’s Chinatown, nestled by the Commons, the Combat Zone, and the Leather District. Good times.
Little-appreciated fact: you could always get a drink after-hours in a Chinese joint if you knew how to ask. “Special cold tea” was the name. “I’d like a pot of special cold tea with my meal,” you’d say.
Without batting an eye, they’d ask “Sam Adams, Budweiser, what?”
Said once “Scotch.” By the Yellow Emperor, I got scotch in my teapot.
