No decision is final, Dark. You can’t simply say “I’ll never change my mind on this”. It’s an impossible statement.

You should ask yourself why you need to make such reality-denying statements.

It’s worth pointing out that movement conservatism these days is based entirely on such categorical assertions. E.g., Taxes always need to be cut, regulations always need to be reduced, entitlements always need to be cut, affirmative action is wrong in all cases, etc., etc.

Back in the day, the conclusions were still the same, but the RW think tanks would present more or less plausible lines of reasoning to get there.

Now this stuff is just asserted as if it were self-evident, or a matter of religious dogma.
