And Rand Paul voted No. Of course, if his vote actually mattered, it would probably have been a Yes. Jones I can understand — he’s up in 2020, but Manchin and Sinema don’t have to worry until 2024.

I’ve said it before, there’s two basic reasons I can see for voting against Trump nominees:

1. You believe that Trump is corrupt/unqualified for the office and that poisons all of his nominees,
2. You believe that Trump, as president, is entitled to appoint cabinet officials but the particular nominee you are considering is unqualified for the office

Barr has held the job before, so it’s probably fair to say he’s qualified for the position. There’s also the consideration that he is immeasurably better than the person he’s replacing (both the actual AG and the acting AG) and is doubly so compared to other potential nominees.
