I’m not sure where I said either of those things, although you seemed to be implying that scientific data is handed down in a Mount Sinai-esque manner.

There is a lot of debate between various labs as far as ideas and models go. For an example off the top of my head, whether individual thoughts are the product of a single action potential pathway, or the result of a cohesive electrical pattern throughout the entire brain. Whether you want to engage in semantics and call it discussion or debate isn’t very important to me, I think debate works just fine.
