I am fascinated by the programming decision CBS has made to program reruns of The Mentalist in the Letterman slot all summer.

First of all, the new (and awful) Briton who now does The Late Late Show gets shit for a lead in.

Second of all, I can understand the desire to have a palate cleanser ahead of Colbert taking over…but aren’t they afraid people will get in the habit of turning off the TV earlier over the course of the 3.5 months between shows…or, even worse, discover they like Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel more than they thought?
