This is a true time and space story. Back in the early-mid 1970s when there were two pro basketball leagues, there was a player in the now defunct ABA named Marvin “Bad News” Barnes. One time he was supposed to take a short flight across time zones where the arrival time was “before” the takeoff time. barnes refused to get on the plane, saying “I ain’t getting in no time machine.”
