Uncle Sam was already in the student loan business. Except it was outsourcing to private companies to do the work and didn’t have any part of the profit participation while insuring against loss. The government cut out the middleman and decided to do the work themselves for a cost savings. Hmmm I would think a conservative would be for cutting out waste using tax dollars more effectively.

OK, and this relates to health care because?
