I agree with pretty much all of this and of course I didn’t mean to dismiss your personal engagement, which I’m aware of from past comments.

The only part of your comment that I disagree with is this:

I agree that the buffer zone, from the point of view of the actual clinic experience and everything else leading up to it, which you do a great job of breaking down, is perhaps not that big a deal.

But the point is that striking down the buffer zone is basically the highest court in the land saying they will undermine any attempt to push back against the hate, the same way they’re undermining attempts to push back on corporate control of politics, the rolling back of civil rights for minorities, etc. etc.

In that context, it’s hardly surprising that the laws don’t get enforced. It’s not as if the Supreme Court is sending a message that they *want* them enforced, after all.
