Cubbyholes are win. *_* A friend of mine when I was in high school, his parents designed and built their home, and it was this awesome quirky dream house with cubbyholes and built in storage nooks everywhere, and weird catwalk balconies. It was glorious, it was like the Wincester Mansion. The computer (a 386, we stayed up late rocking the Wing Commander series) was in this little loft balcony that looked over the dining room.

Well, this place has a combination of built in cubby holes, and a lot of plain pine book shelfs, not stand a lone, but all bolted to the walls, we have over 2000 books here, and actually probably a 1000 more downstairs on shelves and boxes.

All hardwood floors everywhere, no rugs, lodge pole pines for load bearing supports, lots and lots of wood.

But not lavish or anything, rustic, built 50 years ago, as a bar, about 10 miles from here, moved up here many years ago.
