re: #385 Hecuba’s daughter

This morning a friend of mine texted a message to several of us old COBOL programmers exclaiming she may have to go back to work — because so many states are now seeking COBOL programmers to process unemployment claims. I haven’t programmed COBOL since the 1980’s — and certainly have no interest in refreshing these skills, but there are probably riches to be made there.

I’ve found this stuff sort of amusing. I was doing COBOL programming back in the 1990s. Though on VAX and not IBM machines.
