Some of the adjectives I’ve heard and read: brilliant, thoughtful, intellectual, scholarly, ruminative and so on. So why isn’t he being picked on as being “too white” by the black community?

Are you kidding? For real? It has something to do with his being a Democrat. Remember, Billy Jeff was the “first black president”.

To the Democrats, a white, accented hillbilly from Arkansas isn’t even too white for the black community. I can’t believe you asked that question! :)
