I’ve been to Philly several times, but never to a sporting event, so I can honestly say that my time there was very nice, most of the people I met were nice, if not polite, and I had a good time.

I’ve been to sporting events there.

The football crowds are fairly rowdy, especially as you get up into the cheap seats. Also fairly abusive in what they yell at the field, plus some that will be abusive towards those wearing opposition jerseys.

The baseball crowds are pretty friendly and polite from what I’ve seen.

The hockey fans are somewhere in between, though I’ve only seen fans starting fights with fans wearing opposition jerseys at Flyers games so far.

Can’t comment on the Sixers since I am not a pro basketball fan. The college basketball fans are fairly calm outside of the student sections.
