re: #35 LudwigVanQuixote

Wow… That is a truly sad mirror for the US then - save your government is actually doing something. Congrats to your government. I knew I liked Australia.

Julia has been good for the lower and middle class, sadly the polls suggest she would not be returned if there was an election tomorrow.

I’m most disappointed in the under 30’s in Australia.
They seem predominately to be on the right.
We have one of the highest cost of living in the western world.
Average house prices in Sydney are over $600,000. Its beyond the majority of the young, rents in Sydney on average are between $400-650 per week.
Even with two incomes, they are racing against inflation to save a deposit.
They blame the government in power.
We avoided the house price collapse in 2008, though prices have remain stagnant since.

Our seniors find it hard to make ends meet, they are most often right wing too.

Another issue is immigration ‘boat people’, we have people (muslims) coming by boat near weekly, our detention centres are full to overflowing.

Sadly we (not me) fear this immigration, and out left wing government tries to help them. Again, its a nail in the coffin for Labor (the left).

We are a racist country, Before Muslims, its was Asians, before that Italians, Greeks, you name it, all they way back to the second world war.

There stealing or jobs!!!
