I have overseen the computers at work since about 1990. In the 386 days I even built a couple. Then I got to busy to spend hours doing hardware.
I always have our computers made to our spec. Intel processors and WD drives have never been a bad choice in all that time. My experience has been external drives failing at a higher rate than internal drives. Makes me wonder if flaky drives get sold cheap as externals or maybe the box they put them in sucks with cheap parts.
