A patient showing possible symptoms of Ebola has been admitted to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe and is in isolation as a precautionary measure, according to hospital spokesperson Mandi Kane.

Kane said the Department of Health told the hospital the patient did not meet the criteria for Ebola testing because of the patient’s travel history and symptoms.

Kane said EMS workers alerted the hospital the patient was en route, and that the hospital immediately activated its Infectious Disease Protocol.

She said the patient has been placed in isolation as a precaution.

WTF? Warrants a press release, but not the actual test. Again I say, WTF?
