One of the reasons why Texas has been snatching away many corporate headquarters is the lack of a state income tax. So the CEO’s move and put a stake in the ground, but many of the core operations of corporations still operate where they originally domiciled. Comerica is a prime example-the CEO decided to relocate corporate headquarters to Texas, but the key operations are still in Auburn Hills, MI. Fascinating, eh?
