If you were actually a fiscally conservative, small government type you would support something like the ACA in my opinion. The unnecessarily high cost of health care in this country makes government involvement even more likely.

Dunno: the necessarily high cost of health care in this country is pretty much entirely an artifact of its being run, for the most part, on the “free-market” capitalist “free enterprise” system: the system most conservatives (fiscal or otherwise) have been telling us for decades is the only efficient and effective way to operate a national economy.

Not to mention the self-interest inherent in the system: If healthcare providers, Big Pharma and health-insurance companies couldn’t trade their stock on the exchanges, we’d have “socialized medicine” before you could say “deductible:…
