Everyone wants the new coach to succeed (and not destroy the entire league).

Everyone hopes the new coach succeeds, but the reality is that Trump is out of his league. Thinks he can impose football rules on baseball, bring in family members to be the offensive coordinator despite having no experience, and then picks a special teams coach who admits that he’s not up to doing the job but still gets picked anyways.

Oh, and Trump picks a bunch of former players who are ineligible to be management because there are rules against immediate transitions from player to management.

And all the while, Trump is dealing with competing leagues and sports, but no one seems to know what he’s doing because he wont reveal any details that might show self-dealing for personal profit.

Oh, and hope/wishful thinking isn’t a strategy. Or even a plan.
