It doesn’t have to make sense. It just has to scare the right people into voting against their own interests out of fear.

I genuinely think that what we’re seeing is pandering to the End Times crowd here. See, if Obama is the anti-christ, he has to set up a one world government. At least, so the Left Behind freaks (Tim LaHaye, Jerry Jenkins, et al) claim.

How this would be done is never explained, anymore than they bother to explain how he’d set up a oneworld currency either. All that matters is that the right people hear it. Not so much a dogwhistle as the sound of the seventh vial opening.
