Ah, but it won’t.
I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand, there is much in modern life that could benefit individuals in this group (medications such as antibiotics, for instance). But does the group as a whole suffer when these things are introduced? That I don’t know the answer to.
I do know that I’ve seen stories about cultures where modern conveniences were introduced too quickly, and the culture lost so very much of its traditios, arts, etc. That’s very very sad, IMO.
Do we have the right to deny these people choices?
