There’s no evidence that lack of “resources” for any kind of health care—mental or otherwise—contributed to this. I’d hate to see another CA Prop 63 enacted (dmh.ca.gov) as a reaction to this horrible event when it certainly wouldn’t have done anything to prevent this incident.
